Finding the right event format

  • Private Dining Room: up to 16 guests
  • The Belvedere semi-private area: up to 25 guests
  • Partial restaurant buyouts: up to 55 guests
  • Cocktail receptions and full restaurant buyouts: capacity is set by the layout and service plan
What should I include in my inquiry?

Private & semi-private dining

Intimate gatherings at Scout

What is the difference between private and semi-private dining?

The Private Dining Room gives groups of up to 16 guests a dedicated room. The Belvedere accommodates up to 25 guests in a reserved semi-private area while the restaurant remains open elsewhere.

How do the menus work?

Private and semi-private events use a limited prix-fixe menu selected from Scout’s Prix Fixe Menu Guide. Hosts choose one to four courses with two or three options per course. Some regular-menu items, including sandwiches, are not available for private events.

Do semi-private groups pre-select appetizers?

Yes. The host selects appetizers for the table to share. This keeps service smooth and gives the group more time to enjoy the gathering.

How are food and beverages billed?

Private and semi-private dining is billed by consumption. You pay for what your guests order rather than a flat package price.

Is there a room fee?

No separate room fee applies to private or semi-private dining. The event is subject to the deposit, tax, minimum 20% gratuity, and any cake or corkage charges.

What is served at cocktail receptions?

Cocktail receptions use pre-selected appetizers and snacks. Service may be passed, buffet-style, or a combination of both, depending on the selections and the size of the group.

What is served at partial and full buyouts?

Buyouts use Scout’s seasonal Reception Buffet in most cases. The buffet menu starts at $50 per person. Dessert selections are available for about $10 per person.

What beverage options are available?

Choose from the regular drinks menu, a limited custom menu, consumption-based billing, or one of four bar packages: Beer & Wine, House Brands, Call Brands, or Premium Brands.

Can we bring a cake or dessert?

Yes. The cake fee is $3 per guest and includes cutting and plating for desserts brought in from an outside vendor.

Can we bring wine?

Yes. The corkage fee is $15 for each bottle brought in from off-site.

Pricing & deposits

What to expect financially

What deposit is required?

Private and semi-private dining events require a $200 deposit. Partial and full buyouts, off-site catering, and other contracted events require a 25% deposit based on the estimated total. Every deposit is applied to the final bill.

Is gratuity included?

A minimum 20% gratuity applies to every event.

What are the full-buyout minimums?

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday full buyouts require a $12,000 minimum food-and-beverage spend. Monday through Thursday full buyouts require a $5,000 minimum. Taxes, fees, and gratuity are separate.

What are the partial-buyout minimums?

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday partial-buyout minimums begin at $5,000. Monday through Thursday minimums begin at $2,000. The final minimum is based on the date, time, space, and guest count. Taxes, fees, and gratuity are separate.

What happens if the minimum spend is not met?

The difference between the final food-and-beverage total and the contracted minimum is charged as a rental fee.

What staffing charges apply?
  • Cocktail receptions include one dedicated server for up to 20 guests.
  • For receptions over 20 guests, one additional server is assigned for each additional 30 guests at $150 per server.
  • Buffet attendants are $150 each; one attendant for every 20 guests is recommended.
  • Private bartenders are $150 each; at least one bartender is required for every 40 guests.
What other buyout fees apply?

Buyouts carry a $250 cleaning fee. Outdoor events that require a satellite bar carry a $150 setup fee. Tents, chairs, and other rental items are priced separately.

Enhancements & add-ons

Personal touches for your event

Can we schedule a chef tasting?

Yes, after the contract is signed and the deposit is paid. Tastings are offered for up to four guests at $75 per person, excluding beverages, tax, and gratuity. They are scheduled two to six weeks before the event, based on the chef’s availability.

Can Scout create a custom cocktail?

Yes. The $250 custom-cocktail package is designed for up to two guests and includes a private consultation with the Bar Manager or General Manager, creation of a cocktail for the event, and custom beverage menus.

Can we reserve the Fire Pit?

Yes, for eligible outdoor events when weather and event location allow. The Fire Pit package is $150 and includes firewood, setup, and staff maintenance of the fire for up to three hours.

Scout staff must tend the fire. Guests may not add wood or place anything in the Fire Pit and must keep a safe distance. The event host accepts responsibility for use of the Fire Pit and for smoke, ash, cinders, or other effects created by the fire.

Can Scout arrange tents, chairs, or other rentals?

Yes. Rental products and outside services are quoted individually based on the event plan.

Policies & logistics

Dates, timing, and deadlines

When are cocktail receptions and partial buyouts available?

They are offered during non-peak hours. Scout does not schedule them during Friday or Saturday dinner service from 5:00–8:30 p.m. or Sunday brunch from 10:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.

How long is a buyout event?

The standard event window is four hours and includes outside-vendor setup and breakdown.

Can we add setup or breakdown time?

Yes, when the schedule allows. Additional setup or breakdown time is $200 per hour.

Can the event itself run longer?

Additional event time is priced according to staffing and services and ranges from $400–$600 per hour.

When are the final guest count and menu selections due?

Final headcount and menu selections are due 14 days before the event.

When is the date officially reserved?

The date is reserved after Scout confirms availability, receives the signed agreement when one is required, and receives the deposit.

How far in advance should we reserve a full buyout?

As early as possible. Once Scout accepts regular reservations for a date, the restaurant can no longer be offered for a full buyout that day.

When is pricing final?

Menus and rates can change before an event is finalized. Pricing is locked when Scout confirms the final menu selections and guest count for the event.

Buyouts & off-site catering

Larger celebrations, at Scout or elsewhere

Which spaces are available for a partial buyout?

Depending on the date and time, Scout can reserve the Main Dining Room, The Overlook patio, or The Courtyard for groups of up to 55 guests.

What does a full restaurant buyout include?

A full buyout gives your group exclusive use of Scout. The event plan may include the Reception Buffet, bar packages or consumption-based beverages, desserts, staffing, the Fire Pit, a custom cocktail, and other agreed enhancements.

Does Scout offer off-site catering?

Yes. The Off-site Reception Buffet starts at $55 per person and changes seasonally. Dessert selections, beverage packages, buffet attendants, and private bartenders can be added to the event plan.

Can off-site beverages be billed by consumption?

Yes. You may choose a Beer & Wine, House, Call, or Premium package, or pay for the beverages your guests order.

Are attendants and bartenders required for off-site catering?

Buffet attendants are optional and cost $150 each; one for every 20 guests is recommended. Private bartenders cost $150 each, with at least one bartender required for every 40 guests.
